Lucy's autumn table
Lucy says:
I wanted to create a table that focused on beautiful dry autumnal flowers, that would look great in our glass bud vases. I think it’s important to have some height in the centre of your table so these worked perfectly! I wanted the atmosphere to be cosy and relaxed for my guests, so the colours of our burnt orange glass candle holders and green fern napkins complimented this well. For dinner, we had radicchio shells with figs and a pumpkin purée, these looked amazing against the dark colour of our mango wood platters. To create this table, I lay a fresh white linen table cover and set places with cutlery, plates and wine glasses. Next I lay our fern napkins on to each plate and added a posey of dry flowers as a place setting for each guest. I think the fern napkins were my favourite product on the table as the luscious green colour really stood out against the white. I positioned the candle holders and bud vases down the centre of the table and filled with dry flowers and dark brown candle sticks. I felt the table lacked something in the middle, so I quickly ran outside and cut berries, autumnal leaves and branches to create a beautiful centre piece. To finish, I added some of our string lights to create a cosy atmosphere.
