Miriam's Rococo table
Miriam says:
Let’s take it outside. The summer is finally here and what better way to enjoy the sunshine than with friends in a beautiful garden setting amongst the flowers. I chose the gorgeous Rococo Gardens in Painswick Gloucestershire to host a tea party with the girls.
Designed in the 1740s as a fanciful pleasure garden for the owner of Painswick House and his guests, today it’s a place to roam free and to get up close and personal with nature. It also makes the perfect location for a flamboyant and colourful themed afternoon tea. I used our latest Truly Scrumptious collection of tea party accessories, adding a modern twist on the centuries-old Rococo style.
I laid the table with a mixture of plates, napkins, tea cups and dinner candles to add some height to the table. Flowers also give height to the table and bud vases are a great way to dot small flower arrangements across the whole tablescape. The chosen in-season blooms were from a local florist, The Bespoke Flower Company, in Painswick and picked out especially to match the flowers in the tableware design.
The pretty and pastel tea party food equally matched the design and it was great to be able to support the café within the gardens.
The sun shone brightly as the guests arrived and it was a wonderful way to start a new summer month on the first day of June.
