Talking Tables' Summer Days Away
Talking Tables has teams across the world, with offices in London, Shanghai and New York. This summer each team enjoyed team days out as a celebration of summer and the successes of the year so far.
The Shanghai team enjoyed their summer celebration in July. They went to the Bund No.1 Exhibition & VR Game. They hugely enjoyed seeing the Monet & Impressionists Masterpieces, 57 stunning pieces of work by French artists. The colours and detail in every piece were breathtaking! They also experienced the high-tech in the form of an immersive VR game, transporting them to other worlds where they had to use teamwork to make it through the tasks. Following this the team gave rave reviews for a delicious lunch of spicy seafood. A great day all round!
Accessible only by ferry, the NYC team enjoyed a beautiful summer Friday on Governors Island in New York Harbor. What was once used as a military base, is now a seasonal destination filled with a park, camping sites, arts and cultural events, recreational activities, a farm and fantastic scenery. Food trucks are spaced out around the 172 acre island where we enjoyed a delicious taco feast along the water with an amazing view of downtown Manhattan. After lunch, we rented bikes, took in a few art exhibits and roamed every inch of the island marvelling at all of the history the island has been a part of. We treated ourselves to snow cones and appreciated how serene and removed Governors Island felt, when in reality we were only a 10 minute ferry ride from the hustle and bustle of our beloved city.
Meanwhile the London team put on their own Festival Of Freedom in the beautiful Cotswolds. They booked an amazing array of suppliers who made the whole event, from Sibling Gin tastings, circus performers, amazing live music and fantastic workshops spanning flower crown making, sustainability and life coaching. Teams put on karaoke shows and danced the night away before sleeping in tipis. The whole day was immensely fun from start to finish!
